i wouldn't call it a marathon as my friend has because honestly i have been through longer runs then this...
the good old young skip-schooling days...
and only just recently i went through another double movie run watching Moon and...
goodness me The Final Destination 3D at The Cathay...
ya...
i don't know how i sit through that one...
bad movie aside...
the whole 3D experience is just draining...
maybe i was on a good state after watching the delightful Moon...
sad thing though the theatre for Moon does not allow any food or drinks...
how did i sit through that considering i am such a movie junk snacker is another wonder...
then again that was another story...
movies for today were...
The Ugly Truth...
which was really quite enjoyable...
and there are a few tips about man that anyone can ponder about from the movie...
i must admit...
men are shallow creatures...
but i am one who listen and care...
one who is not dictated by visual cues...
one who do not think and hump like chimps...
as gay as that sound...
or as good as i would like to think myself to be...
hahaha...
after that is the Inglourious Basterds...
which is really good as well...
except for its slow pace and length...
more than 2 1/2 hours...
plus i learnt a lesson...
don't watch movie without having a clue what it is about...
i was a bit lost at the beginning because i have no idea what the synopsis was...
funny fact...
Tarantino deliberately misspell the words in the title...
he did not offer any explanations but many assumed that it was a touch of personal style...
and in case u do not know...
the story is purely fiction...
Hitler did not die in the manner depicted...
this is cause my friend asked me about this at the end of the movie...
hello...
its Hitler...
how could u not have known?...
and apparently...
the so called Inglourious Basterds are not real too...
know this cause i went to check online once i got back...
habitual...
the movie like they said is a "Western shot in a Nazi setting"...
i did enjoy the movie run...
and i bought a pack of over-priced Skittles to go along...
there is this charm about eating Skittles in the dark theatre...
where u cannot tell what colour u picked from the packet and what favour are u putting into ur mouth...
a kind of mysterious surprise...
i wouldn't do that with a pack of jelly beans though...
for that u got to be prepared for the weird, disgusting favours...
in between the movies...
we dropped by the Ion for a quick bite/lunch...
and we found the takoyaki and Swiss rolls my friends were raving about...
the Swiss rolls were priced about $15-18 a piece...
but really looks delicious...
as for the takoyaki...
the picture below says it all...
even though the crowd at Ion has yet to gather to full capacity...
and given that some of the other stalls are slow on business...
the takoyaki stall has a long line in front of it...
too bad i did not have a chance to try that...
interesting note: as my friend commented, the two persons at the counter making the takoyaki kind of looks like twins... check that out for urself...
But seriously the takoyaki is delicious...must try...the Swiss roll is too exp >.<
