i am actually quite a fan of it...
there is this little excitement and thrill when really spicy food travel down ur digestive tracts...
so when my friend asked us out to Muthu's Curry...
i was a little thrilled...
though not totally excited...
but he is paying...
so what can i complain about...
from what i gathered from my friend...
Muthu's Curry is quite a famous curry joint...
as far as i know...
there are two branches...
one at Little India...
and another at Suntec City which is the one we went...
which is quite funny because given it is a Thursday night...
there are very little people around Suntec even around dinner time...
signs of recession maybe...
first up...
if u are trying to locate Muthu's Curry at the complex directory...
u won't have any luck...
the shop is under the name "The Muthu's Favour" in the list...
anyway it is located at B1 where majority of the food places are...
the place offers a lot of authentic Indian food...
and of course lots of different types of curry...
but that is not all...
they have other Indian dishes...
and special Indian desserts which we did not get a chance to try in the end...
we ordered just a few of the items in the menu...
including fish head curry...
Tandoori chicken...
and naans...
naans are one of the specialties of the place...
they offer it in a few favours...
just to try it out...
we opted for the basket of it which offer a few of the more common naans...
and i must say the naans are really superb...
probably one of the best dishes we ordered....
the other that i would like to recommend is the Tandoori chicken...
now i am not a regular of Indian food so i do not know whether it normally taste so good...
but it is really good...
servings of the dishes are decent but not to the plentiful extent...
there were 6 of us hungry souls there...
and a combination of about 6 dishes were more than enough for us...
probably due to the fact that we ordered a large fish head curry...
the rice over here is free-flow...
and u can choose between normal white rice and Briyani rice (yellow rice)...
my only complains is that despite our numbers...
they served the rice in a bowl that is more suited for 2 persons...
we got 2 refills...
but i thought we would have eaten more if not for the fact that we need to keep asking the person to top it up for us...
especially since we have lots of gravy with the fish head curry...
the total bill comes to just slightly less than $20 per person...
which i think is quite worth it...
as a minor note...
maybe instead of getting the free-flow rice...
use the money to get more naans instead...
it is really that good...
so if u are craving for some curry...
and do not want to spend over-the-top prices for it...
Muthu's Curry would be a good place to go...
